A member the Los Angeles Rams' defensive line, the Fearsome Fourseome, Olsen became a color commentator on NBC after retiring and later co-starred on
Little House on the Prairie as Jonathan Garvey, Michael Landon's sidekick.
In 1981, Landon tapped Olsen to headline his own series,
Father Murphy.
